The Digital Fabrication Lab is working on our next generation of pavilions which are scheduled to be built this summer.

We are challenged with developing non-liner tensegrity systems into designs for the pavilions. Each team is utilizing digital tools such as Grasshopper and Kangaroo to simulate structural behavior, then testing these designs with physical mock-ups.

The design of the pavilions will be developed in advance of a final presentation scheduled in mid-March.

DFLは今年の夏に制作されるパビリオンの設計に取り組んでいます。

今年は非線形のテンセグリティーモデルを構築し、パビリオンのデザインに応用させようと試みています。それぞれのチームはグラスホッパーやカンガルーといったデジタルツールを使いながら、構造シミュレーションと平行しながら、モックアックでの検討を進めています。

3月中旬に予定されている最終プレゼンテーションに向けて、より完成度を高めるためにデザインを進めて行きます。
